Additional Information

Dr. Bal Nandra, Chief Medical Officer of IV Solution Ketamine Centers of Chicago launched Serenity Foundation in October 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. With a mission to improve the mental health of communities through the sponsorship of ketamine infusion based treatments for depression, PTSD, addiction, and other mental health illnesses, Dr. Nandra brought together a powerhouse board of directors that includes: Alexa James, CEO of NAMI Chicago, former Tribune Media and NBC top executive Larry Wert and Chicago broadcaster Angi Taylor, and several other mental health advocates and professionals.

Taylor is pleased to be serving as the night’s MC as she’s been a ketamine patient of Dr. Nandra’s for years. She’s also witnessed ketamine treatments providing life-changing results to her husband and brother, a veteran suffering from PTSD. Entertainment will be provided by Chicago Cubs National Anthem Singer and Anti-Bullying Activist John Vincent. Vincent is one of Chicago IV Solution’s most vocal advocates of ketamine treatments and is a current patient.

The Serenity Foundation and its Board believe that ketamine treatments are an impactful service that should not discriminate based on a patient’s financial situation. The lack of coverage from health insurance makes their services inaccessible to many who would benefit greatly. Every dollar raised from this event will go to provide services to so many that need treatment but do not have the means to afford it.
